The only time it's ok to be a tosser!

Over the last month I’ve been up to Scotland quite a few times. This weekend I went up to check out our waedding venue and it just so happened to be the weekend of the Gordon Castle Highland games.

Basically it’s where all the Scottish stereotypes get together...

There were kilts, bagpipes, scotty dogs, big burly men tossing the caber (Google it) and tug o war (back to Google).

The only Scotch thing that was missing was the egg!!

I loved the weekend and my Instagram stories of the tug o war got a lot of love.

Other than the visits to my homeland I’ve got to spend a lot of time with my sister, she is opening a new bar and is in London doing a month long cocktail making diploma, I’ll never have to make a drink again!!

I did my first ever 5km run at the weekend, I feel like this is a meagre achievement for a fitness professional of 12 years. I took part in Park Run up in Elgin and did pretty well.

Out of 184 athletes I came 6th, and because it was my first attempt using the running app I got like 20 PB’s. I have now retired from running ha!

Looking forward to June, the month of the Evolve coach birthday. Ash on the 5th, Quinny on the 20th and myself on the 27th.

Quinny and I (we may have a space or two) are doing another 24hr challenge for his birthday. The Welsh 3000 is the 14 highest peaks in Wales in under 24 hours. We start at the top of Snowden (not one of the 14, which seems unfair) and we set off at 5am. As we both uncannily resemble mountain goats we should be able to complete in 12 hours... well we will see.

Have a great week ahead, train hard and eat well. If you are struggling with anything that is affecting your fitness/nutrition give us a shout.
