Hell Week

I have just finished reading…I’ll rephrase that, listening to, a fantastic book called Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins

The book is an autobiography about a former Navy Seal (the best of the best in the US Navy), ultra-runner and all round badass.

It tells you his story from his abusive upbringing, through to passing the Navy Seals training and much, much more. However, that explanation does this book a disservice

(I have no idea why I am not working as a book promotor after that)

This book taps into how to get control of your mind and how if you want to and have the right mindset you really can do anything you want.

It also shows you how crazy this guy is.

He had fractured both his shins, but knew he couldn’t quit his training so taped up his ankles and shins with duct tape to be able to continue

Yes, you read that right, he taped his broken legs up to make sure he passed!!

And to be fair, that’s pretty tame for him!

I kind of feel like we are bonded somehow after my finger injury!

But seriously if you want a book that shows you what your body and mind can achieve if you are willing to push it beyond its comfort zone, this is the one for you.

I have been listening to a lot of audio books lately. I find it a great way to learn new information without having to find time to sit and read.

Something I have never been that good at

But on my walk to work I find it not only gives me a way of switching off for 20 mins, but it means I get through a lot more than I normally would.

Exploring London

Having lived in London for over 10 years I feel like I have seen my fair share of this amazing city. But lately I have tried to go to places I haven’t been to in a long time

This weekend it was the turn of Hampstead

If you haven’t been, go and check it out. Such a pretty place with the heath to walk around and amazing views of London from Parliament Hill, it pretty much felt like you were out of London.

There are also some great little café’s and pubs to grab a coffee or beer in after your walk.

 Nutrition for Fat Loss

This week we host our Nutrition for Fat Loss seminar at Evolve

If you haven’t got your tickets yet grab them here

Nutrition is confusing, frustrating and seemingly hard work. This seminar is going to disprove that.

We want to break down the basics so that you can see just how simple it can be and how to make nutrition work for your lifestyle

David and I used to run an online nutrition business, so we have worked with a lot of clients in this field, which makes it a great opportunity for you to come and pick our brains.

Hope to see you there

Ash
